Mayor Leighton and police chief Dessoye are related through marriage.

It is of interest that Louis DeNaples, who owns the lot that LAG Towing occupies. Leo Glodzik of LAG was his son-in-law before divorcing his daughter. Glodzik and DeNaples still maintain a business relationship.

Below is a quick summary of the latest on the “Cars for Cash” scandal...

This ties into the dirty business I believe LAG Towing is the beneficiary of the bribe. I now know LAG to be an auto theft ring. A poor, single, black mom who was “down and out” e mailed me. She couldn’t afford the $3,200 fee (60 days) imposed by the W-B city contracted LAG Towing. As it turns out, trying to retrieve her car had all the elements of a “sting.” Despite me offering a credit/debit card, Leo Glodzik (LAG) refused to accept my offer to pay (why? Because the car had been stripped for parts). Fortunately, from my personal ministry (see Gratefulhands.net), I was able to help this lady (Senta Boyer) become “whole.” Since her car was stolen, I paid for a “new” used car for her plus $600 for repairs. I also paid for her tags, registration, insurance, and I paid off her fine (for outdated tags which had her car towed). I also filled her tank with gas and gave her $200 cash.

But this is just one person! Can you imagine the cumulative hardships that LAG is profiting from? Make no mistake - LAG Towing is operating an auto theft ring focused on the poor and defenseless. Leo Glodzik is fully protected by police who refuse to respond/help if called. The Police chief (Dessoye) and Mayor (Leighton) require that no part of his contract be followed (fees and records). Glodzik just gave (bribed) all of the cops bottles of Champaign for New Year’s. Leo Glodzik intercepts 911 calls and has the police handle calls in a way pleasing to him. We couldn’t get an officer on Dec 29 to help Senta Boyer get her car back. I was so sickened by the cruel injustice that I physically got sick that night (and it wasn’t even my car). Senta called me and sobbed uncontrollably for 25 minutes. It was an awful thing to be part of. This is the 4^th time this has happened.

Dec 29: Officer Olshefski (sp?) said (after talking to Leo who intercepted the 911 call), “It is not illegal to not show a car. We are not sending a cruiser. It’s civil.” (Senta Boyers’s stolen car isn’t criminal?)

ANOTHER LAG HORROR STORY

A dead man’s car was towed because the inspection sticker was expired. Leo Glodzik, figuring that a dead man wouldn’t come calling for the car, started taking it apart.

48 hours later, Brenda Meehan, went to retrieve her father’s car. Glodzik, knowing he was “caught,” began screaming at Brenda. Glodzik, not wanting to hear any feedback from Brenda, told her to shut her mouth. A person they knew in common could come with her to get the car.

Glodzik told Brenda that if she said one word – that he would double the price!

As it turns out, Glodzik has a history of violence and misogyny (Google “Glodzik” “PFA” “slash” “Head butt” etc..) He was scheduled to go on trial for attempting to head-butt a cop (not a Wilkes-Barre cop) and has had a PFA served on him from his old girlfriend.

Brenda showed up to get her car. She paid $480. She was not “allowed” to speak before getting it. The car was put out on the street by a worker. Glodzik then disapperared.

DAMAGE/THEFT? Four tires stolen (replacements were all flat)

Battery stolen

Electronic trunk closer stolen.

Dashboard devices were taken.

Brenda was forced to pay $480 and tow her car home.
