Top 10 Should I laugh or cry? (scroll down for Time Sheets)
1) Not to "toot my own horn"... but my pro forma income statement (where I estimated expenses) came within a whisker of the real thing:
My Pro Forma Income Statement = Annual Loss of $34,000
Avg of 2009-2011 according to Parking Authority = Annual Loss of $50,000
2) Finance for dummies Who is going to pay $20,000,000 for the right to lose money?
3) JJ Murphy recommended his brother's law firm. Patrick Murphy's firm was gracious enough to treat JJ like royalty ($300 or $400 per hour)
How then can Fox Rothschild (whose client is the city of W-B) impose these terms on Wilkes-Barre and why does W-B accept them?
4) The ONLY way this deal would make sense for anyone is if it was a bribe and a gateway to something better (who knows what Leighton/Murphy have up their sleeve).
5) Desman Associates (third consultant) is "a national parking consulting firm with expertise in all facets of parking." So what is JJ Murphy and why do we need him?
6) We are only using Fox Rothschild on the recommendation of JJ Murphy so he can enrich himself. I truly question whether they have aceess to potential bidders. They are a law firm and they are not business brokers. We are being taken for a ride.
7) The hourly rate ($275) of the "top dog" (Principal or Senior Planner) at Desman Associates is LESS THAN what JJ Murphy makes
8) Why no oversight on JJ Murphy's Time sheets/ billing invoices? He has charged the city $34,776 over the last number of months.
9) If you look at the time sheets... JJ Murphy had many talks with different people. Some of these people (especially the one cutting the checks) knew he was making at least 8 times per hour what they were making? But nobody said anything. This speaks to the corrupt culture that Leighton has created where people are scared for their jobs if they were to do the right thing.
10) SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST!! Some of JJ Murphy's entries
- Conversatiion with TML (Leighton) regarding compensation concerns (How so? Like your pay rate will "come out of the closet?)
- Conversation with Times Leader and Citizen's Voice.
- If you are investigated, JJ, are you going to charge the city for "time spent with investigator."
